Hey OG, do you think the grossgrain will interfere with the shock cord's ability to bunch up the opening smaller?

Au contraire, mon frere. I think it helps. There's grosgrain on the suspension openings of my BIAS Buginator and NanoBuginator.

It's prolly ok on a bugnet since you don't need fine control. I did grosgrain on the end channels of an UQ before, and it was a mistake. In that case it did cause problems cinching tight enough.

You could try the Walmart curtain section for materials too. I got a huge piece of, well don't know exactly what it was, but it is supposably cat proof, and looks like bug netting. I never made the bug net out of it, but would probably be cheaper than Joanns. I threw away the packaging and rolled it up with my other fabric, but I think it was like $10 for enough to make a full Fronky bug net.

I made mine out of the black window shear material From Wally world. It works great and I hade enough left over for a stuff sack and some snake skins for a tarp.

I love these zombie threads. Back when MAD777 first started this thread in 2012, he probably only had 6,000 posts.

Hey, cat-proof Fronkey bug nets are more relevant than ever. Didn't you see his PNT trip report from about six months ago?
