    Video: A Lightweight Bridge Hammock --- Trail-ready

The sequel to A Lightweight Bridge Hammock -- Counting Grams. The sub 10 oz bridge hammock gets a little heavier---but only a little---with the addition of a full enclosure zipped-in bugnet net. As an added bonus, the hammock picks up a 9.5 oz under-quilt, which in point of fact is the BUQ resurrected and re-engineered for the new hammock.

Grizz, I made the mistake of watching this with my first cup of coffee--it will take a few more cups for me to grasp what wonders the master has wrought on this system. Indeed, you are the professor, nay, more than that, a wizard of amazing power. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Well done, sir!

That is some really cool stuff there! The spectra quilt suspension is brilliant. Nice work.
    Good luck,

Thanks rip. I think it is mostly just linear thinking...here's a problem or challenge, what solution suggests itself? I'm pretty dull at a party...

Thanks RF. I do think about how these things look and want them to present well. I like the combination of apple green and black, but you need to be really careful and really good at stitching black thread through the green fabric...mistakes really show up. So that's another reason to use black all the places I do....to hide the stitches!

Thanks Hawk-eye. Had to work hard to make each segment "snappy". Must have taken 6--8 takes on each just to get out what I wanted to say without stumbling too much. In real life I can't talk that way. Did I mention that I'm a real bore at parties?

I can't mass produce them. There's a whole 'nuther art to design-for-manufacturing. I keep hoping some cottage industry guy will think it worthwhile to pick up on my design ideas....Brandon is out there, somewhere, promising a Warbonnet bridge some-day. I've seen it, even laid in it. No-one will mistake that for a GrizzBridge...its his design, through and through.

I appreciate that Les, although the hyperbole makes me blush a bit. Go ahead and get some more coffee, with or without seeing the video again. Makes the morning brighter!

Thanks Red. As is often the case, the spectra thing was a bit of an accident. I had this quilt where I'd put these loops in before. I've had problems before keeping the quilt closed up next to the hammock when hung from the corners, because of the bowing in, in the middle. I had this Spectra, it was worth a shot.... happy it worked out. That Spectra weighs nothing, you can hardly see it, let alone tie any knots in it. I think it is fishing line, actually.
