Still don't understand how the baffles are attached to the top of the shell, obviously they're sewn on to the top, im just wondering wether you sew the end of the mesh to she shell?

There seem to be two groups here, those that sew the end and those that don't. Honestly if you want to keep a bit of your sanity for later I would say don't. But if you're like me and just HAVE to do it, lol, you just have to box the ends. You just kind of bunch up the end and sew a curve of sorts.
It is hard for me to explain. Others here have said that the down really won't migrate between baffles if you don't sew the mesh to the end.
So how are the baffles attached? Do you mean they just sew them to one side?
Sew all the baffles to the first side. Then sew the two sides together along one end seam. Then lay the second side of fabric on your seeing machine. I roll up that piece of fabric and place the roll next to the upright on the seeing machine and the line where I want to sew the baffle lined up under the needle. The first side, with the baffles, will be laying out on your table away from the machine. Then pull the first baffle up to the needle, line it up on the marked line on the second side and sew. Then just keep doing this, baffle after baffle, until you get to the end of the fabric and then sew the two sides together to form the other end hem.
Next, sew one of the long sides. Then stuff with down. Finally sew the last long side. Your done!

I'm stuck on the right material. Will Water Resistance, down proof work for top and bottom or is that too much and the down won't loft right? I wish we had a sticky for one article that covered literally everything in this process.
