Don't know if it will make much difference since the rope is so large but some people do an extra wrap on the larkshead (which turns it into a prusik) with amsteel just to ensure the rings stay together better. Wouldn't hurt to try it out but your set up will work so long as the rings hold out. Don't forget to back it up with a slippery half hitch. Over time and depending on how much you get in and out and how much the hammock gets moved, the webbing you pull through can migrate from being centred in the rings to the point where it can slip out when first getting loaded.
