    Hammock for a BIG fella?

My son is 6'7" around 250. What lightweight rig would be best? I might try to make one if I need to. Thank you fellow hangers!

Look at one of the 11' hammocks that are popping up like mushrooms lately. I have a WL Lite Owl that feels huge...there are others.

Check out the Wilderness Logics site. Their stock hammocks are a foot longer than most other manufacturers. This helps reduce or eliminate the pressure on the calf muscles common in gathered end hammocks. Since he is 6'7" then it shoudl be just right. No personal experience with their customer service but have read a ton of good things about them. Give them a call.

Im 6'8" 230 ish... love My 1.1 DL.Balckbird. also liked the Wilderness Logic Light owl. The longer strech sides are great. The black birds footbox makes all the difference in the world. Just choose according to your weight. Good luck. Let us know what you come up with.

Double 1.1 blackbird goes up to 275lbs

Got mine down to 21oz with whoopies and cuben bishop

I am 6' 260lbs. and I use a DIY gathered end made from 1.9 ripstop from joann's. It works great for me, cheap too.
