    SOLD: Lightweight Carry-On 35L Convertible Suitcase/Backpack

For sale: lightweight carry-on convertible suitcase/backpack. This is the Schooner model LAT-2445R, made by Bell Bagg Inc in Seattle, WA. It is made of coated pack cloth with a mix of metal and plastic hardware and lockable YKK zippers. In excellent clean condition with no defects, stains or smells. $35 including Parcel Post shipping to US addresses and PayPal fees.

    Features:

    *Weight is 37.5oz
*Main compartment is roughly 21"x13"x8" measuring the fabric panels (2184ci/35 liters)
*With the bag stuffed, the depth is more like 12"
    *The outer pocket is 14"x12"x1"
*There is a leather padded handle on one side for carry and a pack cloth grab handle on the end.
*There is a removable CCF foam back pad.
*There is an open-ended pocket inside the lid
*There are two pairs of grosgrain straps to hold folder clothing inside. There is no hardware on the straps.
*There is a shoulder strap that mounts on metal triangle rings
*The shoulder straps are padded and connect at the bottom with Delrin snap buckles. they tuck behind a typical zippered panel for "suitcase mode."
*There are metal rings where the shoulder straps buckle in. I assume the shoulder strap could be used as a waist belt (???)

I've seen a lot of convertibles and this is a very straightforward design. In the best UL tradition, there are few extras: just the main body, a couple pockets and some shoulder straps. It isn't designed for actual backpacking, but more for getting from the hotel to the train station or airport. I would add a nice simple day pack for everyday use. I spent 3 weeks doing train travel in Europe with a bag very similar to this one and had plenty of room. It will hold your hammock nicely
