I'm really impressed how you trained your dog to take your picture sitting by the fire.
I had a friend tell me once that I was never in any of my photos....so I had to teach the old girl some photography.

Isn't it nice to get out of the concrete jungle into the "green jungle"??? I hate the concrete jungle anymore and why I finally moved, built, and live in a area of the heaviest wooded remostest part of Indiana and look forward to the drive home now each and every day,,and as I pull into the drive way,,feel a smile on my face with every thought of work and the concrete jungle wiped totally away from my mind and body. think I will go out and build a fire in the fire pit!

Looks like a perfect night, jealous that you have a four-legged friend to help you carry some gear!
It is a very alert, active sheep, with a stylish, lively carriage.

I use a Juki & Pfaffs w/ assorted attachments, and have serviced lots of vintage machines. Any questions?

She packs hers and I pack mine. I had a guy give me hell for making my dog carry my weight. I set him straight. Evidently he hasnt seen a working dog before. Maggie loves her job. I started on a progression for the weight and she can carry her water/food/bed/raingear for 3 days. Over that and I carry her food. Guy later passed us on his way back up the trail and shouted that "she better have a good bed tonight for having to carry all that weight.........people!! :-)

Great report and awesome pics! Thanks for sharing.

Looks like your pooch was having a blast too...and likes getting her picture taken.

Some of the things people used to say/ask about my dogs (was a K9 handler for 12 years) would blow my mind. A couple of my favorites:

Lady: "Do you guys get them hooked on drugs to teach them how to find them?"
Me: "Yes, ma'am, we do. But this is an explosive detector dog so we had to put a block of C4 us his @$$ to get him to find bombs."

Guy in a parking garage....as I am looking at him...while I'm wearing a suit and tie, jacket off, pistol exposed: "Is that your seeing-eye dog?"
    Me: "Yes, Sir, it is."
Guy: "How did you lose your sight?"
Me: "Born this way.....say, friend, can you help me find my car?"
Guy: "Sure, what kind is it and what color?"

Thanks again for sharing your report and pics!
