Thanks for the post, but it's heavy as a 4 man tent.

I love the lay of it, and I changed out the suspension. It is good for car camping. I had a BMBH but found it too short for me. The Chrysalis is longer and so much better for me. I will have to weigh just the hammock to see how much it weighs. I have the entire system down to 4 lbs 6 oz right now, but that includes the cover, which I will just use for winter camping.

I think with the new version you have to purchase the hammock and overcover separately.

I ordered one. They had free shipping also. Been wanting one of these to help weigh me down.

    Technically it's a bridge hammock, right ?
I remember having seen this hammock in my early hammock days (abt 4 weeks ago). I was interested, but then repelled by the price (haha, if only I had known where this goes...)

Me too, and it should do the job of "weighing down"! Been wanting to try one for a long time, and it should be fine for car camping, and maybe I can figure some ways to reduce weight. Right off the bat, the weight- like with the HH Safari- includes a "tarp", kind of.

But I have wanted to try one for a long time, and for $154 AND free shipping, this seems like the time to do it! But, I really am going to have to break down and sell a few hammocks!

So, this is a "No Net" hammock, correct? The net is an added $69 and extra oz?

Hmmm, wonder how I will insulate the bottom? Pads I guess, but wonder if any of my UQs will work?

My luck was no good! They notified me that they had run out 1/2 hour before they took my order. So no Chrysalis for me!
