ENO Double is a great hammock!

OK, so I'll preface this by saying my usual camping rig is a Hennessy Explorer, converted to whoopies, with a Warbonnet Superfly tarp. Not exactly minimalist gear, but not super crazy heavy either. About a month back, I sprung for the ENO Double for day trips, for a backup rig, and specifically for an upcoming trip. Just got back from said trip - a one week Sea Base excursion aboard a gaff-rigged schooner sailing around the Keys in Florida - where I slept above decks in that ENO the entire trip. I love love love this hammock! I converted the suspension to whoopies, added a Zing-it structural ridgeline, and I slept like a baby with the rocking of the waves making the hammock my cradle, and the wind in the rigging my lullaby. If I get a bug net, this may be a switch-hitter for the Hennessy rather than a backup! Light, airy, breathable and incredibly comfortable - man, I almost wish I'd found this hammock first.

My ENO DN was my first hammock and is still my go to for chilling.

Ive seen several "back to the ENO" threads over the past few months. They really are comfortable.

I love my ENO. It is incredibly comfortable, and being an open hammock, it is great for taking along when it is not bug season, no net connected to it getting in the way of looking at the stars.

Plus once you get rid of that heavy rope and biner, they don't really weigh that much. I don't know how much it weighs without those, but would love to see the numbers if someone has them.

Love my ENO, but still having a little WBBB envy. However, I can't imagine another hammock being any more comfortable.

Another thing - on Sierra Trading post they sometimes have an ENO Rest Nest on sale, and if you use coupons you can get down below $20, delivered. It is shorter and narrower than the Double, but a great hammock for lounging (or kids). I carry one mountain biking all the time, for a quick hang at good spots I run across.

Quick conversion to whoopies and you'll be set with a real light setup.

Lastly, they also sell something by Castaways (I think it is called Hammock in a Bag) and they have a model that is every bit the size of a Double Nest (maybe even slightly bigger). Same great taffeta material as ENO - and you can get for below $20 too!
