Sorry for the slow reply, just now had time to log in....
I slept pretty good, I learned that I had a little too much sag on the hammock, with no pad or under quilt, I just stuffed some clothes I would normally have along on a trip in the under pockets. My upper body stayed warm, my legs from the knees down to my feet got a little cold. Woke up this morning no aches or pains.
For tonight I flattened the hammock a little more & will wear wool socks & use a little warmer bag... gotta get my lay right & make a ridge line, will be using it for 4 days next weekend in Nebraska.
Awesome! Glad it was a good night. I had too much sag with my Lite Owl one night. It wrapped my legs up...like a taco.
A few more nights with.an adjustable RL fixed it. Good luck tonight. I def jealous that your out under the stars.
Glad you had a good hang last night. Hope it goes better tonight.
Hope it works out warmer for you. You might try a half inflated pad for your feet, or a pillow as a temporary fix.
Happy Easter....
I woke up in the hammock this morning to the sounds of loons, song birds, owls & turkeys gobbling... 29 deg. last night & I stayed warm & cozy all night, don't think I will spend much time sleeping in a tent again... money well spent!!!
Now need to tie a ridge line (what knot do I use? )
Need to order some whoopie slings or strap & buckle (decisions whats best??)
Need to order some amsteel blue for tarp ridge line (Best place to order ?)
Great morning, I have the kids easter baskets & eggs hidden already
Happy Easter!
I'd suggest whoopie slings. For your tarp ridgeline I'd suggest 1.75 Zing-it. You can order it from Dutch or any number of our wonderful vendors.
