Our Troop is planning to build their own hammocks as a group. Plans in the works. Good to go.
This leaves tarps. Can folks offer up suggestions of what type of material would be a good tradeoff of weight to cost for them to make their own tarps as well?
I'm assuming my goal is something cheaper and heavier than sil.
We think we can get the hammock and suspension built for around $35 a piece. Would love to try and keep the tarp price in that range.

Tyvek roll seems like it would work well.
