Need advice on pick up at Va 623

MY partner and myself will be finishing a 10 day A.T. hike on 28 April. We need a place to park our truck and get a ride back to it from the trail head when we finish.

We have a ride to our put in point in Damascus and will leave our truck at the finish point around Va 623 and Hwy 42. I believe this is refered to as the Burkes Garden section. Is 623 a grave rd? I do not want to leave a truck on the hwy for 10 days.

Anyone know of a secure place and shuttle service for this area.

I don't think anyone's ignoring you, but it may be a lack of familiarity.

Look up a trail atlas that has local numbers to call for a shuttle. Any small town near the trail will have a shuttle making cash.

I know that none is ignoring me but it is fun to throw the sympathy card out there in times like that.

I did find an outfitter to pick us up this evening Happy Hollow in Atkins Va. $50 for 2 riders. Its not that far but it is two ways for them. With high fuel that may be cheap.
