    I use four of the small ones on my tarp (Claytor JH). They are in two pairs. One pair is used "conventionally" for the side tie-outs of the tarp, which also have tarp tensioners:

    >---===------^=======

    Tag Tensioner Cleat Loop

    The loop goes around a tent peg, and the cleat allows the line to be made taut (as a normal guyline)

    The other pair is used on the ridgeline tie-outs:

    >--O====^--------------'

    Tag Ring Loop Cleat Line Hook

    This is 'back-to-front' compared to the above. A short piece of cord is tied around the tarp tie-out tag to a small stainless-steel ring. The main cord is passed through this ring to the cleat. The hook is like a metal mitten-hook, or rather, like a tiny wire-gate carabiner. The line is wrapped around the tree, and the hook clips over it, in the same way as the strap-and-carabiner of the ring-buckle system. Again, the cleat allows the line to be made taut, but this time it slides through the ring instead of around the top of a tent peg.

    I hope this is clear. The small clam cleats are ideal for the 1.5mm cord I am using for the tarp. The are easy to adjust, and weigh nothing.

    Hey guys, I've found another source for ClamCleats. Hilleberg packages these as "LineRunners" and you can get a package of 10 of them for $5.00 at MoonTrail. They have both sizes.

    Clamcleats arrived today from UK. Total cost was $8.64 for a dozen minis and they arrived in one weeks time.

    Could you post the UK link to the order page?

    My clamcleats arrived from the UK yesterday, as well. Took eight days from when I ordered. Not bad at all.

    Tobit, thanks for the update on places that have clamcleats.
