    Occupy Warbonnet Ramping Up!

Okay, now that Peacemaker has joined the movement we have doubled our numbers in just one day! I can just feel the groundswell of emotion starting to touch the hearts of Warbonnet fans everywhere. The throngs of Hammock Campers worldwide begging for a Warbonnet Bridge can be ignored no longer! For those of you who have never been involved in a protest of this magnitude, hold onto your hats and jump on board the Occupy Warbonnet train.

If the thought of lying around in your hammock, or singing Bob Dylan tunes with Shug around a fire in a barrel carrying placards decrying the horrible injustices of having to wait for days on end for something as valuable as justice (er a hammock with sticks) makes your heart yearn to join us, I'll PM you my address and then you too can send your Occupy Warbonnet registration of $275 USD and be a part of something special. Yeah that may sound a little pricey but, hey, freedom isn't cheap!

The peaceful WarBridge train is leaving the station, climb on board!

There are a lot of us waiting to see what B had come up with for a Bridge. Last we talked he is still trying to get a fully functional crew trained at his new location so that they can sew to the proper level and keep up with orders as they come in. I believe right now it comes down to not releasing a product that would be oversold in the first few hours and then having a month or two waiting list....no one would like that. Brandon does not want a Backcountry Boiler situation to try and deal with but rather a quick turnaround that keeps everyone happy.

Whatever happened to good old fashioned patience?

It seems to me that we all actually want Brandon to be comfortable with the design, to have the details worked out, and have the stock he wants in place before he announces anything. That's best for him, and ultimately best for his customers.

Rushing, or creating a bunch of hype and expectation just seems like it will hamper things and maybe create stress where it isn't needed.

I hope the design is good. I'm willing to wait, though.

I already got one. You can lay flat as a board, has no poles, and weighs 5 ozs...

All kidding aside, I can be patient as well. It should be a sweet rig when it comes out, but good things come to those that wait...

    No Offense Intended!

I hope everyone got the idea this thread was meant as a tongue-in-cheek way of celebrating our excitement over the pending release of what is likely to be a huge contribution to Hammock Camping. Obviously I am not driving from Canada to Brandon's workshop. In fact, my hope was that the buzz would increase the demand for the new hammock so that Warbonnet could turn a profit (not a bad thing).

I in no way want Brandon to rush his product, I was just hoping a little levity might provide an escape valve for us who are so excited about the anticipated launch.

I fully agree about the importance of not rushing production. I'd much rather wait another year if it meant it was up to the high quality of Brandon's Blackbird.

And in reality, I'm not a big Bob Dylan fan anyway.

Sorry if I stirred up anyone's anxiety, wasn't my aim.

I just waited four and a half weeks for a hammock....let's get that down to a respectable time first and then move on to other items...

Not that I would mind trying a bridge out...hmmm...

I think we all realized that this thread was a fun way to pass the time while we waited for another Warbonnet. I hope Brandon takes it that way as well and doesn't feel any pressure.

However, I liked the part about Bob Dylan

I don't think anyone is upset. This is actually a fun way for average Joe's like myself to be a part of the hype. It,s fun to have something cool like this to look forward to no worries.

It sounds like an idea for something to do for all wb owners. Group hang for the wb kind of thing.

Actually, I wonder if that might be a cool idea. When Brandon releases he could host a group hang and bring his stock with him. That way the truly dedicated (sadly my dedication stops at the border as I have no passport) get first dibs and us in the second wave can find out from those of the first wave what to expect.

Better yet, instead of Comic-Con someone could host a Hammock-Con. We could all dress up as our favorite hammock figure (I choose Shug as Fidel Castro) and spend $1000 on tarps and Dutchware and insulation and bridge hammocks and...

    Smiles all!
