    Range of Season hangers

I'm curious how many here on HF hang in the various seasons of the year.
As the membership grows, I was wondering if the demographics change also. With new technology, underquilts, weathershields, winter tarps and the like, my guess is that many are ranging farther into more seasons. Let's take a poll and watch the results.

Four season, but of course, our winter is more like fall other places; highs usually in the 60°-70°s, lows seldom below freezing. I don't do much in the summer because it's too freakin' hot and humid July through August, but I usually hit the edges of it if for no other reason than my twin sons's traditional birthday camping trip over the Labor day weekend.

4 seasons for me. Less in the middle of winter but I do get out about 2 or 3 times. I would like to try an underquilt vs. my BA insulated aircore pad to see if there is better comfort for me. I do like how small the BA get when deflated.

hopefully comfortable all year. Temps in the areas I hike in winter are average 67/35 but have been down to upper teens during storms and such. Ive hung down to 32 with a Nightlite pad but those were the old days (last December, lol)
now with a ccf + a HR underquilt Im hoping to be more comfortable in that situation.
Summer means hiking in the mountains, at least 6000' so I can get away with less, temps down into the mid 50's up there. (however we do have areas above treeline, 12,647 is the tallest peak here) so it would be down to freezing perhaps even in July.

I haven't been hanging for a full year yet so I have no clue what my range will be. I don't have winter hiking equipment (snowshoes etc) so that will limit me to some degree.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

I go 3 seasons, winter, spring and fall. It's just too hot here in the summer and the troop takes more day trips and lock ins this time of year. In the winter, I've been down in the low 20's.
    Peace,

    I picked 4 seasons but I've not been the last 2 August's
Hard to get in the hanger mood when the concrete is 140 degrees.

I'm going to say 4 seasons, but this soon to be southern boy is moving to a place with only 2.5 or 3 seasons.

With work and other issues, I don't get out as much as I'd like. That said, I HATE THE HEAT!!

The only attraction to summer camping is my kids are out of school. I'd prefer 30 degrees to 90.
The harder I work, the luckier I get.

I'm with you, 30 degree anyday. Different story when I have to start sleeping with my aquamira. I spent a night out last month where it had to be over 70 degrees at night with no wind. First night I ever spent sweating in my hammock. After that night my hiking partner and I decided to turn the weekend trip into an overnight. Subfreezing weather the trip would have been great. No heat, no bugs, views all around, and no need to carry water.
