Longevity of Cuben on Top Quilt?

Looking to anyone familar with using Cuben Fiber on there top quilt, and longevity issues over multiple uses? i.e. Thru Hiking with it vs going m50 outter/7d inner?

    Thanks.

Can't help ya with the Cuban question but I just had HG make a SevenD quilt and it is so soft and cozy. I can't wait to sleep in it.

How long is your thru hike? I would just stick with M50 instead of cuben because if you hit some warm conditions than the cuben could create a vapor barrier.

Smithce is Thru Hiking the AT, so his mileage will be around 2,100-2,200 miles.

Thanks cannibal for the feedback and the help, i went with 8D as inner, and m50 on the outer, save about 40 bucks doin the 8d, and still a sub 10oz, 45+ top quilt. Will post pictures when complete.

I think you also avoided the one thing I could think of with a Cuben top quilt: if you make both sides from Cuben you will have trouble compressing the air out of it. Since you went Momentum on one side, the air's got a way to get out when you're rolling/stuffing the quilt.
