Welcome fro Florida. Once you sleep in a hammock, you won't go back to the ground.

I say Go For It! You don't know what you're missing. I thought hammocks were weird until the hard ground persuaded me that it was worth looking into. Now all the ground dwellers around me think I'm weird, but I know better!

If your looking for something to just pull out and lounge, I'd suggest Grand Trunk's UltraLight Hammock. They're under $20, and are quite durable, I've got 2. If your looking to replace your tent, I'd recommend a bridge hammock like Jacks 'R' Better. I remember the first overnight trip with mine, I woke up in the morning, and honeslty thought I was home in bed. It took a solid 3 or 4 seconds to realize I'm in the middle of the bush. I'm a bit partial to my Warbonnet Superfly tarp, it's quite popular and for good reason.

Welcome! from Jax Florida...I cannot express how good hammock camping has been for me and my hubby. You may never sleep on the ground again!
