    New 12' RL Cuben Goodness!!!

Yesterday, the wait was over and previously, after Adam had called me up on my cell phone with a couple of questions, I told the "Doctor" to just do your thingy, and I would be pleased with any way he made it (his way) as I was custom ordering a 12 long Cuben 4 Season Tarp to fit my 11' long Snipe Hammock from WL and I wanted a dash more longer coverage than his stock offerings and here is what he made me. the Tarp is 12' long and 8.5' wide with doors, and with my aluminum arrow shaft pole mods gives me way more room than I ever imagined. Also, after studying how its made and being in business myself, the detail, workmanship, and materials used kinda also amazed me as the ridgeline is glued, all the tieouts are reinforced, inside and out, as well as the Panel Tie-outs that were sewed to the tarp, on the inside cuben material was glued over the sewing to seal as well as re-inforce those areas which means no seam sealing like you might end up having to do on most silnylon tarps. I will post more as I break the pics up alittle.

Here is the aluminum arrow shaft pole mod pics which weight a total of 2.8 oz but give you all the added room inside without using tieouts and extra stakes.

Interesting, it looks like instead of expanding the middle section (the area with the most CF) He lengthened the "peak" points" to get the added coverage where it was needed using a smaller amount of CF to do the job, and keeping the weight (what little there may be) down.

    I dig that...alot.

Here's a few pics of the detail work that went into HG's work on glueing and sealing inside as well as stitch work outside.

Even tho I have read about every post on this forum, I want to thank Rip Waverly for posting his video on his new blue cuben tarp from Zpacks with all his suspension ideas of which I incorporated into this tarp and on my Dutch Tarp Flyz. Sure makes it quick in setting it up. Total weight of the HG 12' long cuben 4 season tarp with Lawson's glow wire on it came out to 10.5 oz of which I am very pleased with. Prussics are used on the Tarp Flyz and tieouts.

Awesome tarp. Nice to know they a doing custom tarps. When I asked about making me a winter palace, I was told they were not doing them anymore so Joe at Zpacks made mine.

Enjoy the tarp looks like it will serve you well.
