    RidgeRunner Superfly setup...suggestions please

I setup my RR and superfly in the back yard today. I wasnt able to get the doors completely closed and I'm not sure if I have everything setup the best way I should. I am open for any suggestions, critiques.

Your setup looks solid. The trekking poles across the top ridgeline to the pullouts to open it up even more is especially interesting/neat.

I'm not sure there are many tips to share that you aren't already doing. I haven't seen anyone else fully close the doors. The suspension triangle on the RR just doesn't allow for it. I've heard of others experimenting with changing the size of the triangle (by physically shortening the ropes) but that's a bit adventurous for me. I don't like messing with Warbonnet's perfection. You might be able to use a 2QZQ set of beaks or other custom pieces to wrap up the open spots... but that's a lot of effort for minimal additional coverage.

The best solution is probably the Spindrift - Warbonnet's custom sock for the RR. It helps keep wind/moisture off in these exact circumstances. Brandon new tarp coverage couldn't be as tight as with gathered end hammocks so he made sure to provide a great, custom sock for it.

The trekking pole idea came from Tendertoe. I thought it was a brilliant idea.

That's like asking me which of my kids I like the best . That's a tough answer. I love them both, but for different reasons. RR is dead simple. The Lynx UQ is my favorite insulation of all time. Set it, forget it and stay warm all night. The saddle bags are nice. It's just comfy.

The BB is more flexible (needs a smaller tarp, no poles to carry, can have closer trees, etc.). I also sometimes like the cocoon-ish feeling a gathered-end creates.

If I had to choose only one, it'd probably be the RidgeRunner, but I won't ever give up both and use each regularly, depending on my mood (do I want more of a bed comfy feeling or more of a wrapped up in a hammock feeling) and the circumstances.
