guy lines & suspension questions

Hello all need some help here, i ordered my first tarp and should be getting it today, a dd hammock 3m x 3m, and would love to have some shock cord into my guy out lines. so the questions are, 1) where do I get shock cords, 2) i have 6 mm line coming with tarp and is that too big 3) best video for showing me the how to of applying the guylines.

also some suspension questions, I bought a snugpak hammock which i am sure will need some mods but in a excited moment i bought some 1" webbing from jo ann fabrics (polypro) and figured with a figure eight loop and feed thru with a marling spike hitch should do it, but as of yet do not know as i it should arrive by monday. so question is do i definetly need whoopie's due to my weight or the carabiners that come with it? alot of mods out there and not quite sure what works best for 350 lbs of hammocker....
i also seen where the carabiner was hooked right into the marlin hitch? any suggestions on that?

As for the Shock Cord question, most of the vendors around here sell Shock Cord but if you are needing it in a hurry to test out your new tarp you can always swing by academy.
