    Wonder what the neighbors think

Got the chance to water test my HammockGear Cuben tarp and test some new drip strings on my WBBB. Everything worked out great and I figured I'd leave it set-up for the night. I just wonder what the neighbors think.

They are probably thankful that you didn't hang it from the pillars.

I think it's great that you're out there w/your son!

Last weekend when crawling out from my "den" in the back yard I saw my neighbor staring at me like "did his wife kick him out???" Ha!! I just waved.

LoL, I would if they would hold the weight. They do make a great place to string my tarp. When I string my tarp on the hammock stand it always get alittle slack in it when I get in the hammock. This way works out much better.

Great pics...looks like your son is digging the hammock!

My neighbors would probably think "that's something nice to shoot at."

I live on Nellis Air Force Base which is in a very shady part of Las Vegas. Unfortunately, even though our house is great, we are right on the edge of the housing area and have a simple 8-foot brick wall separating us from the apartment complex, I mean regional narcotics distribution center, I mean prostitution training and operations academy, I mean police employment justification complex.

It's prevented my sons and I from doing any backyard camping "trips".

On a positive note though, it's pretty cool to hear my wife say "I don't think it's safe for you and the boys to sleep in the backyard....wouldn't it be better if you head up to Mt. Charleston or Valley of Fire?"

Dude that hilarious. I remember a few years back I was TDY there for RF and while walking on the outside of that wall I found a few 9mm or maybe 380 slugs laying on the ground that had bounced off of that wall. I"m supprised you can find trees to hang from out there. (OMG don't hurt the Joshua trees)

Yep, never a dull moment here.

Great places to hang up near Charleston. Let me know if you're ever out for RF again and want to head up to check it out.

If I were your neighbor, I would say "hey buddy, your trees are too close together to get a good hang with that setup. Why don't we go have a real hang somewhere in the big piney woods."

But really, I'm jealous of that tarp; looks real sweet!
