    found: source for green sil

I have searched for weeks, ever since reading the thread about sourcing brown or green sil- and the search is over. quest outfitters is now stocking some "dark sage" silnylon.
it is very close to dark olive green, a shade darker maybe. Since I cant source brown sil, this will do. I was very impressed with the "stealth" color. very impressed.
here's a pic with sharkskin gray as a guide...

My knife is so sharp it cut the sixth finger off my right hand! On the plus side, Inigo Montoya no longer hunts me.

I didn't think that sil would fray. Good find. Thanks for posting.

    I just ordered 8 yards.

its 1.3 sil ripstop for sure- the fraying is on the edge, which occurs from the loom. so its not really fraying since i cant pull it apart. I updated the pic... Im going to make a hex tarp out of it

I'll most likely try my hand at tarp making too. I haven't made one yet, and a cat-cut hex tarp this color would be cool.

This stuff is pretty much sold out as of today. I put an order in for 16 yards to make two cat cut tarps but they didn't have enough. I settled for 8 yards.

Now I've gotta keep my eye open at Wally World as I need to make one for the wife too. I never have any luck there.

Well, glad you got 8 out of it.

I got 8 for a tarp, and 3 for other "stuff". Hopefully they'll get some more of this.

    Thanks for the update.

Yeah, I figured it would just be there for a very short time.
