New guy, just got my first hammock

Hey, just joining the site after buying my first hammock today. Its a Hennessy Hammock Explorer Asym deluxe. I was originally going to get the expedition, but after reading the site the explorer sounded like a better choice for me, as I was pretty close to the height (and weight

) restrictions of it.

Just set it up in my backyard and was amazed at how quick it sets up! And comfortable too! Only thing that bugs me is I was wearing shorts and the velcro is pretty abrasive on my right leg when getting out. Other than that I love it anc can't wait to take it on its first paddle trip!

This is my first time with a hammock like this. When I was in Honduras we had one and I loved napping in it, so I am looking forward to more of that!

You'll love taking your hammock kayak camping! Leaves so much more room for extra gear than a tent does. Even if you're just going on day paddles, your hammock will become the one piece of gear you won't leave home without. I love paddling out and finding a perfect little spot for an afternoon snooze.
The velcro used to bother me too but in a different way...it got stuck in my hair no matter how hard I tried to prevent it. Sold the bottom entry and got the side zip, problem solved!
