hammocks sighting!

I went back to college last year. The school is next to riverfront property that has a 5 mile bike path into downtown Chattanooga. Five miles of park. A few months ago I noticed a hammock between two pines. I don't know about the rest of you, but I see these so rarely that I sneak up on them to see if they are 'real', by real I mean lovingly crafted, or bought from a serious supplier of the hammocking arts... or just a tourist parachute model. Unfortunately every time I see it, I'm inbetween classes and don't have time for a closer look. My conclusion was that it doesn't matter. There is a fellow hanger, and what a slacker I have been to not bring my own hammock to such a perfect place! Two pines and an Ipad, perfect! I believe my college experience just got better.

I sent a hammock to my niece, at her request, who's attending Miss. State. She says there's tons of perfect tree around campus she can hang from. Great study spot!

When I was still in school last year, I would often go hang in front of the guys dorm. A couple times I went back on the nature trails and wandered off into the woods and hung. Nothing better than taking a break from the daily grind.
