Thats such a shame! Some of my best memories are from there climbing, jumping cracks at night, crawling through crevasses, and camping. It wasnt very crowded then...

They have been doing "improvements" to CRV/LRC for a little over a year. The road is still gravel and its still got some great climbs, however the camping spots are getting fewer and fewer.

I talked to tre this morning for a minute by text, and pitched the hammock idea! I told him to come over to Hamilton and go on a canoe/camp on the Buttahatchee River sometime this summer! If he comes, you gadsden folks should come with. That is if i can fit it in my school schedule! Im only right at 2 hours from there.
I have a friend in leesburge. He took me to little rock city a few months ago. It was nice but he even mentioned that they have really taken from it with the renovations. He said it was much better when it wasn't as popular.
Did yall camp and climb?
Sorry John, I thought I answered this earlier but it doesn't show up. If your talking to me, no. He just took me up there to show me where he liked to camp and hike. If my profile picture shows up I changed it to the one he took of me and my son looking over the mountain there. My favorite picture.
Oh well, it won't edit. I didn't realize I had said some of that in the post before. I guess I made his point
JM:
You plan the trip and set the dates. If work doesn't interfere we will be there.

Looks like I am a little late to the party John, but welcome from another Alabamian. I live at Sand Rock now not far from Little Rock City. I am from Fort Payne. I retired from the fire department there about 2 years ago. I now work as an RN at the hospital in FP. Good luck with your schooling and on your boards. Roll Tide my friend.
