Hey yall! Im John and have been tent camping my whole life (im 30). About a year ago I stumbled upon Shug's videos and fell in love, with the videos that is! Im mid way through RN school so I dont have the time, or resources, to do as much as I'd like, but I talked my wife into letting me buy a Warbonnet Blackbird 1.7 single! Whooo Buddy (Stolen line from Shug, although we say that a lot in Alabama)! I cant afford a tarp at the moment but one day when i grow up, Id like a Mamajamba, so, if anybody was about to throw one away... haha! I guess i'll use this big blue piece of junk till then! Anyway, just wanted to say hi!

Welcome to HF from Gadsden. You can't go wrong with the BB or any of the products from Warbonnet. There is a group hang coming up in TN (Mid TN Hang) next month and it would be a great place to see/try/talk about gear and there is always a great group of people and food at this hang.

good grief, those were some fast responses! I never would have guessed that there were so many, so fast, from near me down here in the SE. Thanks for the welcome! Bigbamaguy, I have a few friends from Gadsden, Tre Staples, he owns an outfitter there in the village by the mall called JBBOutfitters, I think they are changing the name to Gadsden Outfitter. You should drop in and check them out sometime. I hope its ok to tell about places to buy gear on here? Sorry if that wasnt kosher, just lookin out!

I have met Tre on several occasions and when I need some repair items I stop by to pick them up. He has a great shop and I have purchased several things there in the past.
