    What bugnet to buy?

im new to hammocking and wanted a bug net for my eno doublenest. I considered doing a diy bug net bug the cost was going to be close to a eno bug net guardian. Well 20 dollar difference.

Should i get the eno bug net or a different brand?

Thats what I bought, I'm happy with it. If you want a horizontal zipper, I'd hit up some of the cottage industries represented in the Manufacturers Section.

Congrats on the new hammock and welcome to the forums!

I have both the Wilderness Logics and the ENO bugnets. Of the two, I prefer the Wilderness Logics version since it's lighter and I prefer the zipper arrangement. Also, the ENO bugnet seems to drag on the ground unless you remove the stuff sack and hang your hammock high.

I also made the the TED bugnet described here:
    http://www.hammockforums.net/forum/s...ad.php?t=33714

The TED net is good, but the best DIY bug net, IMHO, is the Fronkey bug net:

Many people like bug socks like the one sold by Papa Smurf and described by others on this forum: http://www.dream-hammock.com/bugsock/

DIYGearSupply has plans and materials for doing it yourself:

    Lots of options. Good luck!

I have the WL bug net as well for my Lite Owl Hammock. It's a nice design. I have mine set up a little above the hammock ridgeline with the net's rings clipped directly to the Dutch Biner that connects my continuous loop to my whoopie sling on each end. Seems to work ok.

    I don't always use a bugnet.
But when I do, I prefer a Warbonnet net.
