    Wood stove with Warbonnet Superfly

Can this be done effectively? I picked up a 20D silpoly Warbonnet Superfly and was wondering if there is a way to use my Pomoly T3 Mini Ti hot tent stove in it when the temps plummet. I’m not really looking to alter the Superfly by installing a stove jack, so I was wondering if there is a way to connect an elbow and somehow vent out of a partially opened door at the end?

If installing a stove Jack would work, has anyone done it, and where did you install it?

    Thanks

Unfortunately with a door open and the gap between the ground, any heat would be gone in a second. And there's always a chance a gust could blow the tarp into/too close to the chimney. I wouldn't mess with it personally without a jack (or even with one)

Thanks. I agree, I’m not going to mess with it unless there was some tried and true testimonials on here of it being done successfully. Now half the tarp draped over the back and a long fire, that’s another story.

My Simply Light Designs Winterhaven is extra wide and can be brought down to the ground...or within inches. It provides more space inside too with the hammock, so I always wondered about a stove in one of those. That would start to make some sense, but probably better as a ground setup. A nice UQ hovering close to a stove, man, rolling the dice.

I didn't really consider it much since I just sprung for the Smokehouse at the time. But Bob the mod, (dang what's his screen name?) put a stove in a fairly small enclosed tarp. How can a name skip my mind after 10 years. I'm in trouble!

I see plenty of reviews on the smokehouse hot tents but can’t find any info on purchasing them. Are they still in production? Looking into the Warbonnet version. Thanks.

Smokehouse doesn’t have a website, you just email him directly. I reached out to him last November and he replied within a day or two.
