    A brightly coloured bandana. It has so many uses. Among some of the things I've used one for are: pre filtering water, makeshift ridgeline organizer, keeping neck or head cool in summer, pot grabber, bandage for a first aid dressing, wash cloth, signalling..... You get the picture.

    Have not heard the word toque used since the McKenzie brothers' Twelve Days of Christmas!

    My first outing in my hammock I left my bottle or Rum sitting on table by the door. I had poured it into the flask and left eh flask sitting there as I rushed out the door.

    I did enjoy a lovely steak and baked potato for dinner at the campsite that night though. I highly recommend taking a good meal especially for the first night. Something fresh as if you out for more than one night you won't be able to have fresh food the entire trip.
