I Just found out I won't be able to make it Hopefully i'll be able to make it out to the next one though! Have fun everyone!

I AM making this. I have a one hour drive West to run a 5K starting at 9am. I'll drive home, take a shower, grab my pack and then I'll have a 3 hour drive North to 501. I should be arriving around 3 pm, hopefully.

I am seriously looking forward to this. I need a day out and away from things.

Looks like BakRch2 and I are in. We'll be hiking in. We plan on arriving at 183 between 12 and 1. Our average speed including breaks has been about 1.8mph (2.6ish moving), which has us finishing the 9mi trek to the shelter between 4 and 6, depending on arrival time and how many breaks we take.

Anyone who is interested in joining us is more than welcome.
