    Greetings from Franklin, TN!

    What an amazing site! I have love camping and fishing, but recently got into hanging when I was looking into an alternative to tent camping for a motorcycle friend and stumbled upon hammock forums. Before hammock forums my experience with hammocks was rope hammocks that weighed a ton and only came down for the winter season. After perusing hammock forums I've clearly been missing out. I'm converting over to hanging from tent camping and trying to get my wife and kids to jump on the band wagon! Thanks to all for the the amazing information that makes DIY so easy. I have a ENO double, and two GT Ultralights rigged with DIY huggers and whoopie slings, but want to start making my own hammocks once I can find a good used sewing machine and a cheap source of ripstop (my walmart doesn't seem to carry any:-) Thanks again for all the amazing information and I hope to contribute as I get some more experience with DIY.

    Hey, Naturalist! I live in Franklin as well. Just getting into hanging. Where do you go around here? I have a new ENO DN that I need to practice setting up..

    I take mine fishing too, it's easier than packing in a chair and I can snooze when the fishin' is slow... Got a doublenest myself and I love it... Ripstop is found on this site as well, look in the DIY sections.
