Hello and Thanks from Austin, Texas

    Hello all,

I've loved hammocks for years, but have not had my own until a couple months ago when I bought a cheap cotton one for my backyard. It may have been cheap, but it sure was comfy and very welcome in this wonderful, unseasonably mild weather we've been having. Even the mosquitos have been lower than usual, and I have yet to encounter a wasp this year.

So, I was doing a little internet research on easier ways to hang my hammock, and possibly a nice cover for it, and I got the most information from this forum by far. So, I thought I should at least make a post to thank you all for your willingness to answer peoples questions, as it helps everyone passing by the forums.

Unfortunately, I have a tendency to over-research everything, and then get a bit too involved in trying to get the best for my needs. A few months ago I got more into astronomy and telescopes and paid the price with my wallet. And now, with reading all the posts here, instead of just getting a few things to make my life easier... I have plopped down some funds to upgrade my hammock to a Papasmurf Dangerbird. Mainly for when the bugs and inevitable weather change, and to eventually to go camping with it.

It's a good thing both hobbies involve a lot of laying back and looking at the sky at night

    Cheers

    Welcome from Florida.
You're going to enjoy that Dangerbird! It's a very versatile hammock.
My daughter & her family live in Austin where I will be visiting again soon to play with my grandson.
