Ok, I have been lurking here for a month now. I read, read, and read....then read some more. I ran out and got a HH Explorer and immediately converted two of my friends to hammocks.
After our first camping trip which involved hiking about 10 miles I've gone on a weight kick, which led to my first DIY project. I ended up buying a Brother 6000i thread injecting machine which works wonderfully for everything except for bartacking thicker material.
The issues comes when I start folding poly webbing over and bartacking. The machine seems to get about 75% of the way through bartacking and then all of a sudden it stops feeding. It will continue to lay stitches down on top of each other until it eventually just can't penetrate the shell of thread it has created. I've found when it does this I can make a micro adjustment and it will continue sometimes, but most of the time the adjustment messes up the buttonhole foot setup.
Any suggestions from you thread injecting mad scientists?
