So be sure to take some huggers for your tarp as well, according to the letter.

Hey guys I am new to this forum. I should post this in the introduce yourself forum. But I am in a hurry so I will make it brief.
Hello to everyone! I hope everyone is enjoying their hammocks as much as I do. My hobbies include hammocking, camping, hiking, biking, weightlifting and swimming.
Now onto the meat and potatoes. I myself have had issues trying to find a place to hang my hammock. This new policy will hopefully be successful.
However, when I saw this post in here I was happy. I just got off the phone with Tallahassee's Division of Parks and Recreation.(Dist. 4.)
I was told by the Florida Parks and Recreation that they are in Phase 1 of the new hammocking policy of allowing hammocking in Florida state parks.
In the intial stage they are going to locate trees "fit" for hammocking. What is classified as "fit?" I don't know. Secondly, they are also going to install poles in designated camping areas designed for hammocking. It it only a TRIAL PERIOD FOR ONE YEAR. Nothing is permanent in this new hammocking policy. There is also is no date set yet either.
Lets all hope for the best!
When do the FSPACRTS hit the market? (Florida State Park approved continuous ridgeline tarp suspension) lol
Hennessy is already Florida legal.
This is great. Thanks for putting in all the work to make this happen.
with two m's, like "hammock."
While I'm happy I don't like the idea of "approved" or "designated" trees. I do like the idea of posts in the campsites though. I can run an extension cord to my hammock!

I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !
Jaxhiker I agree. I am not happy about the idea of "designated" trees either. I do not want to be hiking in a primitive area at 4pm looking for assigned trees to hang a hammock.
The installation of hammock poles in camping areas is a great idea though.
