Weather pending, I will be hanging at Conecuh National Forest in Andalusia, AL this Saturday 28th night. I will be primarily riding the 15+ miles of trails on my trail MTB bike Saturday, spending the night, and then riding some more Sunday. If anyone is intersted in riding, let me know.
The trails are fairly wide, easy, fast riding. A ton of forest service roads to ride as well. Beautiful pine forest, I love this place.
Any interested riders need to have an emergency pack with necessary supplies for backcountry repairs (spare tube, CO2 or pump, etc). It doesn't take long to get many miles from your car or any highway. If you break down, it's a long push back.
Cost to hang at a site is $6. A little more for an RV site. Showers and bathrooms are there. It's an awesome place beside beside Open Pond.
I never see anyone on the trails. But they are well maintained. Trails are mostly grass bottom, great for hiking too.
