    Wounded by thread injector

So I've got quite a few orders to finish and was rushing through some stitching this morning with the thread injector... in doing some delicate work with the foot up, I started moving too fast and let my finger wander too close to the needle. It sliced down the very edge of my finger breaking through the skin, but not too deeply. At least I didn't sew into it! In the scheme of things, it's not much more than a nick.

It's a dangerous occupation, running the thread injector! Or we could just call it a wound of stupidity.

tncamper was telling me about a show called "1000 Ways to Die" and as he was reciting some of the more stupid deaths, I noted that the show documented the "Law of Natural Selection" in action. This was payback. We all do dumb stuff from time to time.

While I was in the Navy I worked in the "sail locker" on board for a while, we made banners and boat covers and other stuff out of canvas. I did the same thing had the foot up and was not paying attention, although I ended up up getting half the lenght of my finger.

Never messed with one again after that. and that was back in 1982
