How much weight has someone put in a BlackBird double 1.0?

A last minute trip is coming up next week and I just realized I am sitting at about 230lbs (30lbs over my weight when buying the hammock).

Am I crazy to consider using it? I don't want to damage it!

If I remember right the double 1.0 is rated to 240lbs. But figure some socks and a few items and I am close.

The Warbonnet web site says the double 1.0 is good for 225-250 pounds.

I'm pushing (do I dare say it) 240. Ugh. My dogs weight is 45. So we are pushing 285 in it.

Well I am 240 and proud of it these days! Because you see, I was over 270 at some point in my WBBB 1.0 Dbl. I am sure of it. So far it hasn't ripped on me.

10lbs of socks is overkill. Lighten your footware load!

I'm 200, my dog is 20, and my daughter is 40, and it held us just fine. Granted, we weren't swinging in the thing, but I never felt anything ominous occurring during a 2 hour nap

    Thank!!

Very fast response! Thanks a ton, I think I am covered for this last minute trip with the double 1.0.

Of course I did realize while packing that my tarps are without lines and I never did get another bottom insulation setup for my 2nd hammock. So I need to pull something together quick and trying to avoid killing the bank and ordering a Winter yeti or something..
