need help with my new set up

hey im new to hammock camping, but have always loved hammocks, i recently got an eno double, and need help and advise for getting it ready for a trip. i really want the set up to be light weight, i dont need a bug net right now. but i was wondering what the best sollution for a tarp was. i was thinking rectangle. and also how d i attach the hammock to the tree(parracord?) im also wanting to replace the heavy carbiners on the eno. sorry its alot but im pretty in the dark. links and pics help thanks

Very loaded question, and you will probably get a lot of different suggestions.

Securing hammock to tree - this is a good setup from TeeDee.
. There are many ways to suspend a hammock - look at TeeDee's Marlin spike hitch - I like it a lot, and will be testing this out myself.

My suggestion for tarp - try something flexible like this - color is too bright for me, but it's on clearance at REI:
http://www.rei.com/outlet/product/774617. Or for the price, go with Brian at http://www.outdoorequipmentsupplier.com/maccattarps.htm, he makes a good product. Cat Cut is the way to go on tarps, and don't forget the tarp tensioners to save your tarp from ripping in high winds:

I have the Speers Winter Tarp AND LOVE IT. Its a little on the expensive side looking at the money but I can say it has been worth EVERY PENNY.

New here too and picked up a 10x10 tarp from Big Rock Outfitters

Used it last weekend on my first hang - both in the a-frame and diamond configuration and it worked great - had rain the first night and woke up dry!

One piece of advice I can offer: DO NOT hang your hammock with paracord. You'll need something much stronger.

make sure if you use rope or cord to use a peice of stick in your knot so it's easier to untie. just a helpful tip

Or use a lashing or a ring system so you never have to worry about untying it in the first place.
