Adding accessories is the best, makes and old ride feel a little new again.

I got some today from DD. Attached them earlier. Had to make an extra trip out as forgot Carabiners though. Oh well, all sorted for Saturday night's hang.

Sweet! I wanted to go to the MAHHA hang this weekend, sadly, looks like I've got work I can't dodge.

I noticed you said you had ordered some whoopie slings.. Do you plan to use a marlin / toggle setup with the straps?

I do! Not sure what I'm gonna' go with as far as toggles yet. Was thinking about cutting down some aluminum gutter spikes... I experimented with just using BD Neutrino biners (with straps) but wasn't sure I'd be comfortable.

    Also considering carbon fiber tubing.

Was casually going to mention.. Not to knock Dutch's products or anything, but if you're already using tree straps and the whoopie / toggle setup, which works *very* well and gives great adjustability & a lightweight suspension setup, the clips are somewhat redundant (and extra, unnecessary weight.) A simply figure 8 loop or stitched loop in the end of webbing can serve as a loop through which to run the other end of the webbing through.

Feed the rope back through, and... voila.

Nothing to lose, nothing extra to carry. That's the stitched version, but a figure 8 loop works in the same manner.

    Hey Kestrel,
Yep, thats what I'm going to go with right now. Dutch Clips are rated @ 275lbs and that's right on the line for me. I tried the Marlin Spike hitch with just straps and was very confident with that setup. Thanks for the info
