Anybody tried any mods on the rectangular Coghlans bugnet? I picked one up the other day for $18 at Dicks Sporting Goods. I was thinking it would be somewhat cheaper than ordering material online and paying shipping. I'm currently scratching my noggin and thinking how to make it work as a simple weighted drape over the ridgeline.
It's dimensions are: 58" x 78" x 38"w

My first net was like this, but I needed a weight in the center on each side.
If it's not big enough, maybe sew or safety pin it on one side and weight it down on the other, no pins needed at the ridgeline....

I would agree on the rock pockets. Or if you wanted more inexpensive netting, I went with a skeeta tent like this.

I've used one (well a similar coleman model) without alteration. I do have ideas of how to modify it. It would involve a slit down the head end and foot end, and some loops on either side of slit.
