Help me pimp my Eno DN

Hey guys I am new to the forum but looking for some suggestions for insulation. I have read in the forum here a bunch of posts plus read around on the web but there is just so much information my mind goes

I am looking for something I can use in my Eno DN hammock to sleep in cooler temperatures. I was thinking something like this KAQ New River from arrow head

    http://arrowheadequipment.webs.com/a...ts/show/945132

Then eventually get the Owyhee Top Quilt 3S from them.

Is there any other recommended setups? I don't mind spending the money as long as I am buying something of quality that will last.

KAQ is well liked on this forum, as are many others. For now a sleeping bag and a pad is what im using, seems to do alright for myself, but i do plan on getting an underquilt soon. Wilderness Logics is the latest one I've been looking at, down filled and made in North Carolina!

If I'm not mistaken the New River is made with 5 or 6 oz climashield insulation. I made a DIY version of the New River with 5 oz climashield apex for use withg my DN and love it. That said, I don't think you could go wrong with KAQ...

I sewed an exterior pad pocket onto mine to slip a sleeping mat, or my Exped 9 downfilled air matteress in to augment a lighter UQ

The KAQ NR is a perfect fit. The ENO allows for a pronounced diagonal lay, and the KAQ can be made to accommodate that nicely. The stock suspesion won't do for that, however...the quilt has to be hung in a "diamond pitch", of sorts.

Well if you bought the DN for more room like I did and not to double up. the first thing you could do is ditch the side panels. I'm 5'10 275 with a 56" chest and still lay just fine with the panel delete. Also you can make your own UQ for your DN like I just did. http://www.hammockforums.net/forum/s...ad.php?t=51959 I'm a mechanic by nature but sewing wasnt too hard to get right. at least right enough to keep warm and save some moolah. $15.00 it's worth a try
