What are some of the methods being used tie the tarp ridgelines on the stands?
What I did was put an eye bolt on the back facing legs, run the ridgeline through the eyebolt and stake it to the ground on either side. But I'm interested in better solutions. Mine are generally, crude.
Amazingly, my tarp ridgeline is just about perfect to fit between the stands!!!
I just used a couple of small carabiners to attach to the hinges and its fairly taut......
To stop the stands moving too much, I've put an eye on the bottom and pegged it down.
This is only a small tarp and wouldn't really give a lot of bad weather protection. If I was going to use it in poor conditions I think I'd have to rig up my 3x3m DD to keep me dry!!!
I run my tarp under the ridge pole, but tie it to the eye bolts that my hammock is suspended from, works easy. With line going to a tripod leg there could be a chance of pulling a leg out of place. I do have a 14' ridge pole, so if one is only 10' I can see the problem.
Well, Impressed with the T-dog stand & set up. Hung my ENO for testing Dead weight, I swung like a champ. ( forgot How small those ENO hammocks are). got spoiled with the 11 foot DL hammock.
Whipped up the stand in few hours, for Pig roast set up party.. (Did not need stand. I Found one tree hung to " Tree & Roof rack ") Have T-stand for just in case now.
Ridge pole is 15' ( 10 Foot With 5 foot addition) Drilled With Eye bolts & doable nuts to secure. added Closing clevis to secure. Black electrical tape wrapped round to protect the Whoopie slings.
photo of set up, minus the Hammock..
Since, I was fearing the Sliding of the legs. Added anti-skid system to the legs. Can adjust to go flat, or 1.5" out. With the downward Force, Bolts will dig into hard dirt/grass etc. (Option, can sharpen.. not needed so far).
Could be over kill?. But hate falling
Another hammock Mod complete.

Most of us end up poorer here but richer for being here. Olddog, Fulltime hammocker, 365 nights a year.
Just built mine today. 12' ridge pole. 7' tall legs.
I am not comfortable with the caps that have the eyelet carrying the weight. So, I have a backup rope prussicked to the ridge pole.
