    Don't be sad, be proud!

Like when your kid goes off to college. Act sad, but then have a party.

Go TD stands! Go out into the world and be fruitful and multiply!

You mean Brad's? No, it's just photographed at an angle that hides the other legs. Look close, you can see the spread limiters.

    The TurtleDog stand

Hppyfngy is correct. It is a 3 leg standard TD stand, and I have them spread a bit wide, but it works great. I started with 7 foot legs and I have never trimmed them to 6 feet.

I have been busy with other DIY projects.

After a couple of months I finally got around to redoing my hook up in order to remove the bow from the top rail. Once I got the hang set up correct there is no bow at all to the top rail. The picture showing the top rail is with a 200lb person in the hammock so the rail is certainly under load.

Thanks to everyone for the their suggestions and help.

The end caps will be used to hang my tarp from so there will be very little load on them.

    Thanks again.

Made my TurtleDog stand this past weekend.

Works fine so far. I will still tweak my suspension hookup. Thanks to all the contributors to the idea.

Add me to the TDS Club

Used ours this weekend. I got a few "orders" from some folks to make them one. May be a lucrative business, just not sure who to send the royalties to!

Used mine car camping this past week... Just an extra place to hang out and look at the stars or to dry off after getting in the river...

Just finished mine. Works great. Can't wait for the next/first cool rainy night.

Looking good and you're very welcome.

I'm going to do a new build soon and increase the angle on the mitered ends to give the stand a wider stance.

Like I've said before, I did the angles the way I did to keep the footprint as small as possible for indoor hanging, but I think it might be a little more stable for uneven terrain if it were a little wider.

    Keep up the good work!
