Been following this thread and other stand threads for a while now.

Lack of DIY skills, costs of material over here and other priorities are keeping me back, though I still keep eying them.

Something with a smaller pack volume is more important to me then costs. I'd rather have a package the is 3-4 feet long (think small car) then a stand that costs only € 50 ....

So big thanks to all those contributors in the different stand threads.

Feel free to post pictures to my email: [email protected], or here on the forum.

    Thanks!
If you can wait for a little bit (week or so) I am toying with building a beefy home stand using 2x3s and will modify one of my original tripods from this thread to cut the legs in half and use hinges to hold them together. Other than that, all that I have done is in this thread.

Thanks for all that you have done and continue to do for the community!

All that I have around me is sand... the Florida term for it is ” sugar sand” (use your imagination) and it works perfectly!

Ok I think I am going to have to try this stand in the next few weeks. Not sure what materials I will use though. It will be fore my 14 yr old son who wants to try ditching the bed for a hammock. Just ordered a tablecloth for this purpose. Ill let you know how it turns out once I build one. I am cheap so materials will be whatever I can get the cheapest.

I have been needing a stand like this. I do the Chick-fil-a camp outs. I like the 2x3 and 2x4 legs. At 320+ lbs I was a bit worried about those little 2x2's.

The best way to describe it would probably be ” between Sebring and Winter Haven”

It's a great design olddog, slept like a rockin' baby last night, well, better than my son that's for sure. Took me a few trips to home depot but it's done and I'm happy once again with a product I made myself.
