    Woohoo.... T-Nuts, very easy retro-fit!
.... the Aardvark (earth pig)... a rather unremarkable creature whose sole claim to fame is that it is the first animal listed in the dictionary.

Ever get a chance to try this with the RidgeRunner? I have one on the way so I'm thinking a stand modification may be in my future...

If it helps, here's a link to a large stand and WBRR. It has a 16' ridgepole but it should work with a 13' pole. Maybe even a 12 footer with a bit of creativity.

So.... hopefully not a TMI request:

But, any "bigger folks" using one of these? Anybody up over say... 260 or so? Also, off the top of anyone's head, what's the longest hammock anybody is runnning?

Length of hammock is just limited by length of ridge pole and height of legs... I am running a 14' ridge pole and 7' legs and I am running a 10'6" hammock with about 3' of whoopies on either end... For heavier person run 2x4s... And start long and you can always cut the pole and the 2x4s later to a shorter length... I started at 7' because every piece of 2x2 I found had 8-10 inches of knot or crack at one end...
Live, Laugh, Love, if that doesn't work. Load, Aim and Fire, repeat as necessary...

My brother-in-law weighs 270 and has been in mine with no problems. Also my nephew and his gf who add up to about 285 have spent time in one.

I have gone away from the decorative hinges we started with now though and use a heavy duty 4" hinge and through bolts with large fender washers to keep from crushing the wood. Wouldn't be a bad idea to go 2x4" but if you can get clear or better from a lumberyard you should be fine with 2x2".

Probably some of these RR bridges will be longest. Mine should be here soon... But I routinely use a 11' gathered end in the 10' 6" pole configuration.
