Ah ha! Brilliant! My work can continue!
I'm wondering the same thing about the ridgepole! Looks like a good swift movement to pull it off the stands.

Shortened the Turtledog Stand to fit in my car easily & added the extra rail for a 13' span! Now to shorten the rope that the rail hangs from to raise the hammock a bit higher (the hammock undercover just needs tightened - I'm not sitting on the ground).
Might as well add mine to the mix.

I had some extra fence boards [ cedar ] laying around after a canoe repair. I made sone faux birds mouth poles and they seam to work with no problems. The metal on each tripod weighs more than the poles, which is not a factor for car camping. Not sure since I don’t have a scale, but, the total weight is about 20 - 25lbs.
I wanted distance to be able to hang the tarp over the ridge pole so total length of the pole is 14 ft. I also had to make the tripods a bit longer than most I have seen on the forum. The legs are 95 and 90 inches.
I'm not familiar with the term "faux birds mouth poles" can you describe the process and maybe some pictures? Please!
This site will es-plain it better than I ever could. It's really not that hard and the result as you can see is very strong.
