Well thanks to all of the great info in here, I was able to set up a hammock on our deck. Not only that but my wife who's not yet convinced on the hammock thing is reading in it right now
BTW- this is my first TDS and I know I have some dialing in to do but so far very good!
Both of you guys make sure you have some spread limiters on those tripods.

A friend of mine found this design a while back and we made 3 stands one afternoon out of aluminum pipe. So far it works great in my living room. I have spend several nights sleeping in it inside. Plus its better than the couch for watching tv and relaxing.
That is some serious upwards bowing in the second picture and with no load.. bad pole on that one?
Attachment points look right to not have any bowing so that why I ask.
that second picture is pretty hard to see. Also, did you do a panorama for that second pic?
