    My Addition

I have been using my Turtlelady Bamboo stand at work for about 6 months now. I made my stand a little shorter than I liked so now that I have gotten around to making a new stand, I went for the TurtleDog Stand. After finishing it up this morning I am quite pleased. Thanks everyone for the information, especially TurtleLady, Olddog and Samsara!

I can't find it either, but I def. remember the comment about adding a shelf or something.

Thanks, BTW I am a full time Ground Paramedic and Part time Flight Medic. We work 24 hours shifts and if we have down time we are allowed to rest!

The legs are 72 inches to the top of the hinge. Seemed the easiest point to measure from. My legs on my TurtleLady Bamboo stand are only 60 inches. The extra foot made a huge difference in the hang.

Thank you for the quick reply Ohiohiker
    This info helps a lot.
I am slowly building my two pole, telescoping hammock hanger (one on each end) and now I think I know that I only need 2 sections, 3 feet long, for each pole. All the force will be downward on the pole, but I need to have some overlap in the sections. So I will try it (eventually) with two sections, but I have a third if needed

Just trying to make a hanger short enough to carry on my scooter - or a motorcycle.

Oh, with that job, guess you need all the rest you can get. I'll pass on applying though.
