If you have room for a second nut on the end of your eyebolt, you could tie off your tarp in between them below the pole. Maybe grind off the threads there to prevent damaging the tarp lines. Or tape them up.

Thanks! That's actually what I meant...I know I said eyebolt, but was meaning the bottom threaded part. Good thinking on taping the threads to prevent damage to the tarp lines.
