I found that the hammock in the basement with the pad eyes in the ceiling worked very well for me! - The stand is harder to hide.
There was an Old Man with a owl,
Who continued to bother and howl;
He sat on a rail, And imbibed bitter ale,
Which refreshed that Old Man and his owl.WOO
Happycamaper, here is the one I use inside the bat cave. And the link http://www.hammockforums.net/forum/s...ad.php?t=35273
Most of us end up poorer here but richer for being here. Olddog, Fulltime hammocker, 365 nights a year.
I use one for the large Brazilian hammock that I sleep in every night. Didn't have a convient place to hang one, and didn't want to drill holes in the walls. Works great.
The other Old Dog.
I use this one...

I just got the black one when it was in stock, tho. They also sell thru Amazon and their own personal website, but I personally ordered thru eBay... plus I got ebay bucks back, which are fun. I actually got the only auction-style listing for that hammock, so I only paid around $60 for the stand and hammock, as I knew that I really only wanted the stand.
The stand is worth $90 by itself, in my opinion. It's as light and compact as turtle lady's bamboo stand. It's pre-built. It holds a great deal of weight without any stress whatsoever... and I think that's due to the way the hook swings around the bearings. Always keeps the weigh centered, and persistant rocking is inevitable.
I enjoy it. Have used it for at least 7 or 8 months. But I am on the verge of replacing everything in my room (entertainment center, L-shaped work desk, hammock stand, coffee tables, etc.) with the Floating Bed, or at least a homemade version of it.... for a number of reasons. The two biggest reasons are: (1) that it is the flattest lay you can get, so pillows & blankets are no issue.. plus I just like a flatter lay.... and (2) more than one person can join me on a flat, yet "no pressure point" sway.
I'm going to build one of these for outdoor. But I think it would be a great indoor stand too. The poster provides free plans in .pdf file.
